This is the story of me struggling very hard to get this book.
I’ve been waiting this book so long that it really struck me -literally-

when I saw the pre-order posters all over Gramedia, esp. when I
saw the big poster with 20% discount written on it.. me so thrilled..
Since I din bring money to put in the deposit, so I thought I’d come back
later to do the pre-order.

Feeling extremely anxious to get the book and so afraid that I wud miss it,
I call Gramedia the next day to ask about it. This is my conversation with
the *darn* CRO -customer relation officer-

CRO : Hallo..Selamat siang, Gramedia.
Me : Selamat siang, mbak. Saya mau tanya mengenai pemesanan
buku Harry Potter edisi bahasa Inggris.
CRO : Oh..ya ya.. Sudah bisa mulai dipesan mbak. Kita lagi ada
diskon 20%.
Me : -Pura-pura gak tau- Oyaa?? Wah..sampai kapan ya mbak waktu ordernya?
CRO : Oh..kira-kira seminggu sebelum tgl 21 July juga masih bisa
kok.
Me : -so thrilled- Oo..oke deh. Thanks ya, mbak.
CRO : Iya..sama-sama. Selamat siang.

From the short and ‘reliefing’ conversation I concluded that I still have long time
do the pre-order, so I din rush myself. Forget to mention, that I did the phone call
on the last week of May.

So..the story continues, last Sunday (June, 3rd) I went to Gramedia with ONE, SOLE,
SINGLE, TOP PRIORITY
intention: do the pre-order and pay for the deposit.
As I walk myself to that bookstore, the poster *again* caught my attention. Its the same
big poster. But, er..wait! Something’s changed! They put 10% instead of 20%. My boyfriend tried to remind me, ‘Yakin 20%? Kaya’nya 10% tuh..
udah lewat kali waktu 20%-nya.’ Me unconvincingly said ‘Gak kokkk..mbaknya bilang
mpe seminggu sebelum tgl 21 July juga masih bisaaa’.

I rushed myself to the information desk. Asked the man on duty there.

Me : ‘Mas, pre-order Harry Potter di sini ya. Diskon berapa ya?’
CRO : ‘Oh..iya mbak. Sekarang diskonnya 10%’
Me : -tone raised- ‘Hah?? Bukannya 20%?’
CRO : -stay calm- ‘Oh..udah gak mbak. 20%nya sampe akhir May
aja.
Sekarang kan udah bulan Juni, jadi cuma dapet 10%’
Me : -soooo pissed off- ‘Tapi kmrn itu saya telp, mbaknya bilang
sampai seminggu sebelum 21 Juli!!’
CRO : -panicking soale tiba2 customernya ngamuk- ‘Waduh..gak
mbak..
cuma sampai bulan Mei aja tuh..sekarang tinggal 10%’
Me : -sooo angry but can do nothing- ‘Oke deh!!’ -and so I left him-

Arggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh@$%$^@^ kesel banget! Dasar dudul tuh mbak!
Kasih info kok menyesatkan! Luckily, man on dutynya mukanya polos banget..
me gak sampe ati buat ngomelin dia..-lagipula mang bukan salah dia sih..- =P

The whole day I go BETE! Poor my boyfriend kena betean..hihi..*sorry dear..*
I went home and was extremely determined to find another place where
I can get 20% discount to prove to that stu-Gramedia that I don’t need their 20% discount! URGH!!

I went browsing and googling! And so I found the miracle! *my thanks to google
and http://ummuauliya.multiply.com/tag/books* I can do the pre-order thru
sms to KOMPAS CYBER MEDIA! hieuheiueh..
*I don’t care if KCM masih ada hubungan ma Gramedia..
as long as I can get my 20% discount without going thru Gramed..
stubborn, eh?! hehehe*

And so..now I can say loud and clear.. HERE I COME, HARRY POTTER!!!
