Okay..I should start my writing by noting u guys
that I’m not a big fan of banking stuff..
I hate going to the bank, queuing for almost half day just to
get my money or get my book printed.
Its such a waste of time.
-not to mention I don’t have much money there, printing it
out will only remind me how broke I am-
=P..
Plz note that, I haven’t printed my book in the last 5 years
and only do transactions from my ATM card.
My book itself has celebrated its 10th birthday last May.
*I haven’t changed my book in 10 years..*
And so.. since I don’t like going to the bank, I was quite interested
with the Key-BCA idea..doing all the transaction online..
I can always check my account status from my mobile phone,
but since I don’t have the Key-BCA, I cudn’t transfer or do more stuff.
Tempted, I decided to apply for my Key-BCA ‘n tried to get mine at
BCA Puri *its the closest one from home ‘n office*. After certain period
of time -which is 10 working days-, I went to the bank to get my Key-BCA.
Things to be prepared were: my saving book, my ID card, and my ATM card.
As I predicted, the thing that I hated the most, BCA was soooo crowded..
I dun even know what the people are doing there. I waited for 1 hour.
I repeat..1 hour, only to get my Key-BCA.
When I finally got the chance to talk to the customer service, she told me
that I CANNOT TAKE MY KEY-BCA because I’ve changed my signature.
*the signature in the 10-year-old-book was signed when I was in my
Junior high..of course I’ve changed my signature! Its been 10 years!!*
I told her that I can do the exact signature, I gave her my ID Card,
made her look at my stupid picture, CONVINCED her that IT IS MY ACCOUNT.
She technically apologized and told me to close my account, take my money
from the ATM and open a new one. She kept repeating the exact words as if
I was talking to a computer.
She said that, I gotta have an ID with my old signature to
convince them that it is the same. The idea was sooooooooooooo stupid how can
I possibly find a 10 year old ID?? Besides, I was in my junior high back then!
OMIGOD!
I demanded to talk with the supervisor upon this STUPID regulation. It is my
account, I’ve been keeping a 10 year old book for nothing, I can’t even claim
MY MONEY in MY ACCOUNT! The supervisor also suggested the same thing..
I asked her to put in my suggestion: to review this STUPID regulation,
things to be considered:
1. People surely change their signature *esp. in 10 years time*.
2. What if someone suddenly become handicapped? And he/she doesn’t
have any ATM card to take their money.. He/she also cannot take their money
with the book because THE SIGNATURE IS NOT THE SAME.
3. What if I’m doing a billion-dollar business *I dun have one*, using that CERTAIN
account, which acc. number was already being spread all over Indonesia.
I cannot close my account juz like that, ritey?
Anyhey, I went home empty-handed. Waited 1 hour, and went home empty-handed.
As soon as I got home, I was so determined to get my junior high school ID!
And so..I found it! Hahaha.. I like to keep things, my mom used to yell telling me
to clean my drawer and throw all the unimportant things. Well, finally something
good came out of my bad habit, I thought.
The next day, I called the Bank and told them that I found my ID in junior high
with my old signature, and asked them if I can get my Key-BCA now..
Guess what?
The answer’s still NO! They said that the ID was already expired.
Wat the @%^@%^@^@$%&#%^&#!!! STUPIDOs..
I hope someone from BCA read this.. Plz..PLZ PLZ.. do something about
that stupid regulation. You are not helping your customer!
I know what you guys meant is for the protection and stuff. May be
you should get 2 things from ur customer;
1. their signature, 2. their fingerprints..
Fingerprints wont changed rite, so if someone did change the signature
they CAN still CLAIM their account by showing their fingerprints..
I am very disappointed in BCA..10 years being their customer..
10 years keeping the book. FOR NOTHING.
